Structural Engineers & Cad Technicians

Immediate, direct openings for Structural Engineers and Structural CAD Technicians (Revit) with a well established Structural Engineering firm in the Milwaukee area. The company is growing and they need to add people ASAP.  Excellent pay and benefits. $70-$95k for Engineers, $50-$70k for CAD Techs

Engineering RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with drawings, computer models and other information supplied by the customer to develop an effective structural building design
• Prepare structural design calculations for building design
• Work with structural technicians for production of construction drawings
• Review/approve construction contract documents such as specifications, shop drawings and as built drawings.
• Build and maintain client relationships
• Assure deadlines and project budgets are met

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of Structural Engineering experience
• PE registration, or working towards PE.
• SE registration ideal
• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or related required
• Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering preferred but not required
• Completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE).
• experience using Structural Analysis software packages (RAM Suite, Tekla, TEDDS, Enercalc, WoodWorks, etc.)
• Knowledge of design Codes and standards (IBC, ASCE-7, AISC, ACI, NDS)
• Experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD desirable.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the US

TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficient knowledge of Autodesk Revit
• Experience with AutoCAD
• Experience preparing structural construction documents
• Ability to work from sketches, computer models and verbal information supplied by an engineer to determine the most appropriate views, detail drawings, and supplementary information needed to complete construction drawings
• Associates degree and 1-2yrs+ Structural design/drafting experience
