Service Technician / Tech Writer Trainee Full Time

Calling all Mechanical Technicians and recent Tech Grads! You know your tractor, loader, excavator, car, mower, etc. maintenance. Plus you have an interest in computers.

How does FREE on-the-job training sound to further develop your software skills?

The Service Tech / Tech Writer Trainee collaborates with engineers and senior technical writers to update equipment manuals, primarily for construction and agricultural machinery.

Based in Waukesha, WI, join a team of industry-experienced content specialists. Learn and use the latest technology and proven methods to relay complex technical information. A seasoned mentor will train you in Adobe applications and teach you how to communicate effectively through writing and visual aids.

This requires strong computer aptitude and the curious mind to climb onto the equipment, tinker with hand tools, and troubleshoot. But you’re not reinventing the wheel here. Typically, you take an existing document and revise or elaborate.

This company has received a Partner Rating (the highest rating attainable) in John Deere and Company’s “Achieving Excellence Supplier” Rating Program. They are looking to add a bright team-player with experience assembling and repairing large machines.

Full-time 1st shift, Mon-Fri. OT paid at time and a half. Hiring schedule is a 6-month contract-to-direct time frame. You are eligible for health insurance while on contract and full benefits once hired permanently.
