Engineering firm that designs large industrial facilities and equipment is seeking a Project Manager. Contract-direct position.
The Project Manager is responsible for oversight of projects including but not limited to facility upgrades, equipment of projects and might also include assisting another PM with oversight of complete test cell projects, which may include build construction, and manufacturing, installation, and integration.
The PM is responsible for coordination and communications between the Customer, internal staff, vendors, sub-contractors, installation personnel and any other personnel or firms involved in building, installing, and commissioning the Project.
The PM has responsibility for financial management, contract management, and customer relations throughout the Project implementation.
The PM may handle all locale issues at foreign and US installations, including housing and local transportation for staff personnel, local procurement, and local office management.
The PM will be assigned multiple projects and be expected to travel to customer sites multiple times during a project duration.
Up to 50% travel, with some trips lasting 8 weeks or longer, may be required.
3+ years of applicable project management experience
The PM must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, excellent organizational skills, contract management skills, vendor management skills, strong knowledge in the use of standard programs (Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Familiarity with commercial or industrial construction practices is also desired.
B.S. degree in an Engineering discipline, Architecture, and/or Project Management preferred (will look at 2-year degrees with 5+ years of applicable project management experience)
Ability to travel up to 50%, includes international travel
Ability to pass a drug test and background check
