Director of Engineering Full Time

Our established client, an industry leader in the innovative design and manufacturing of therapeutic solutions for home, chiropractic and fitness centers, has a new opportunity for a Director of Engineering. This company has sustained 20% growth in each of the last five years and is a leader in their industry. In this position, you will work closely with all engineering facets including product development, sustainability, and process engineering. You will also manage all engineering related functions as well as work with company leadership to manage, direct, and implement engineering initiatives to ensure the achievement of company’s goals.

New Product Development: The chosen individual will manage, lead, and take full ownership of the new product development schedule. This means you must have demonstrated R & D skills. In this position you will 1) work with the company President and senior management to prioritize current and new engineering initiatives, 2) utilize project management skills, 3) oversee testing of new and current products, 4) write test specifications, and 5) ensure new product engineering follows company documentation processes and procedures.

 Current Product Development / Sustainability: The chosen individual will ensure engineering and manufacturing departments work hand-in-hand providing production staff with all necessary resources, training, and ongoing support. You will be responsible for effectively transferring completed engineering initiatives to the production line, properly documenting and communicating all engineering changes.

 Management: You will manage the engineering environment with a hands on approach, holding employees accountable to ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and annual goals are met; establish, prepare, implement, revise, maintain, and manage policies, procedures, and training programs related to engineering; create a productive environment through effective written and verbal communication.

Requirements:
* BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
* Solidworks proficiency
* 10+ years leadership experience in engineering working in manufacturing environments
